Weekend PC game offers: try free sports and battle simulations

Weekend PC Game Deals is where the best game offers from all over the Internet are gathered in one place, every week, for your consumption. So relax, relax and hold your wallets.

Your game library can be increased by two items this weekend thanks to the latest freebies that are happening. Starting with the regular Epic Games Store gift, you can now get a copy of the Dandara: Trials of Fear, which replaced Galactic Civilizations III from last week.

Developed by Long Hat House, the title is a 2D metroidvania platform game where players explore the world of Salt to free an oppressed people.

You can claim this for your Epic Games library until February 4, as For the king is coming back as a toast that day. Epic also recently confirmed that weekly gifts will continue until 2021.

As for the next draw, there’s also something epic about it, but not the store. You can now get a copy of Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator from Steam for free. This is a sandbox title where you can create creative battles with thousands of units – like 50,000 chickens versus 10,000 Orcs – and see who comes out on top. This draw will end on February 1st, so try to get it before that.

While Humble is back in sleep mode this week, you can check out Fanatical’s latest Reaper Bundle in the meantime.

This eighth iteration of the package series comes with copies of This war of mine, the Stories season passes, One Finger Death Punch 2, AVICII Invector, Close to the Sun, Shadows: Awakening, Mordheim: City of the Damned, and Vikings – Midgard Wolves.

All eight items in the package can be purchased for $ 3.99 and arrive as Steam keys.

Free Events

The two free events that started this weekend are a strange combination.

You can try Madden NFL 21 from EA to experience the latest entry into the long-running sports series, while trying to build and run a private prison for profit through Paradox Interactive’s Prison Architect. Both games are available through Steam and will end their free trial on January 31.

Also, prepare your wish lists, as another Steam Game Festival is starting next week, bringing hundreds of demos to the next independent games.

Big business

Steam’s Lunar New Year Sale is in a few weeks, but until then, there are many games you can buy at significant discounts. In addition, Ndemic Creations is offering its new DLC The Cure for Plague INC owners for free, with the promotion set to end when COVID-19 is under control. Check out our highlights of great deals for this weekend:

Kindness without DRM

The highlights of DRM-free offerings you’ll find below are from the latest GOG collections of first-person and accelerated games.

Keep in mind that the availability and prices of some offers may vary depending on the region you are in.

And that’s for our choice of this weekend’s PC gaming business, folks, and hopefully, some of you have enough self-control not to add even more games to your growing backlog this season. Of course, there is a huge amount of more business ready and waiting across the Internet if you go through it really hard, so keep an eye on it and have a great weekend.
