CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – Get ready for a cloudy, cold and much wetter period ahead! The showers will return to the southern area this afternoon and evening, while we wait for a low pressure area that will bring a very humid period of time from late tonight until Wednesday morning. Probably heavy rain tomorrow morning with rain totals of 1-3 ″ between now and Wednesday lunchtime. Small floods in the streets are possible during the daily commute on Wednesday. The rain will subside on Wednesday afternoon leading to a sunny climate to end the week with the high pressure back in control. A fast moving low pressure area can cause some showers on Saturday.
