Weather in New York: how much snow to expect on Thursday

NEW YORK (WABC) – Another winter storm is expected to bring a new white blanket over New York City, New Jersey and other parts of the Tri-State.

A winter storm alert has been issued for parts of New Jersey. A winter weather report was issued for New York City, Long Island and other areas close to the city.

Snow should start at dawn or just before Thursday.

Moderate to heavy snow is expected during the first part of the storm until noon on Thursday. Snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour are possible.

There is potential for a very difficult and snowy morning trip on Thursday morning, as the roads will get slippery in a hurry.
