We could see some news for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 this week

February 13

If you could measure thirst, the wait for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 would be an ocean.

It is in a unique position, for sure. If the first Final Fantasy VII Remake bombed in every way, there would probably not even be an accompaniment. But was good! And sold! So everyone is looking forward to Part 2 for a number of reasons, which is definitely happening.

Many of us are curious as to how the team could adapt the open world structure; a stark contrast to Midgar’s more linear but personal scenario. But for now, we can only speculate, since Square Enix hasn’t given us an iota of real information about Part 2. That could change soon.

Tweeting out of hype for Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestra World Tour this week, Square Enix confirmed that co-director Motomu Toriyama (who worked on the game with Nomura and Hamaguchi) will do an “extra broadcast” before the event. This is on February 13th, before 17:00 JST, which is 3am ET on Saturday.

In fact, there is an event on February 12, too, but the tweet informs us that it is the event on February 13 that will bear fruit.
