WBB: Gamecocks start searching for the title

South Carolina begins its quest for the birth of the Final Four and a second National Championship at 6 pm on Sunday, with a game in the first round against Mercer in San Antonio. There are no home games for the top 16 in this year’s NCAA Tournament due to concerns about COVID-19. Instead, all 64 teams are in a “bubble” in central Texas. South Carolina, by virtue of winning its sixth unprecedented SEC Tournament Championship in the past seven years, is the No. 1 seed in the Hemisfair region. All four regions are names of well-known areas of San Antonio, the host site for the Final Four. All games will be played at the Alamo Dome from Sweet 16 to the National Championship game. Can Gamecock coach Dawn Staley lead your team to another national championship?
