Indie artists Waxahatchee and Kevin Morby played four songs together for the latest edition of CBS This MorningSaturday sessions.
For the mini set, Katie Crutchfield of Waxahatchee handed it over Saint Cloud cuts “Fire” and “Lilacs” – which she also played recently Jimmy Kimmel Live – alongside Morby, who led the group on “Campfire” and “Sundowner”, the title track of his 2020 LP.
As revealed in a recent Rolling Stone Year in Music interview, Crutchfield and Morby are also partners, with the pair recently moving to Morby’s hometown in Kansas City.
During the interview, Crutchfield also said that he is working on monitoring Saint Cloud, Number Seven in Rolling Stonelist of Best Albums of 2020 from.
“I have so many things coming up and none of them that I can talk about,” said Crutchfield. “I have been working on so many songs, and so many songs…. I am Capricorn. I’m a planner and a hard worker, and I feel like I’ve planned the next three years, because I can’t stay still. So yes, there are a lot of fun things coming up. “
