OnePlus is not exactly known for keeping secrets – the company has spent the past few weeks triggering the launch of its new OnePlus 9 series smartphones, and a bunch of related leaks mean there isn’t much left for the imagination at this point. (Hello, OnePlus Watch!) However, I can think of a way to have fun with the company’s latest streaming launch event: watching it unfold with me and with Engadget’s review publisher Cherlynn Low.
The main event starts at 10 am East / 7 am Pacific, but as usual, we will start our live coverage on 9:40 am East / 6:40 am Pacific. And the game plan? Well, we will do our best to be quiet during the meat of the show – unless it is filled with Gen-Z slang as the last event we broadcast – but expect a lot of context, in-depth discussions and store talk before and after. And the best part: Cherlynn and I will not be as exhausted or hungry as we would be if we were covering this event in person, although that does not mean that we will not be exhausted or hungry. That’s our vibe, you know?
