HBO has released a new trailer for its upcoming documentation on the sexual abuse charges against Woody Allen involving his 7-year-old daughter with Mia Farrow. Allen v. Farrow will debut on February 21 at 9 pm ET / PT.
The trailer offers a glimpse into the expansive scope of the series in four parts, starting with the beginning of the relationship between Farrow and Allen, which made them one of the biggest and most powerful couples in Hollywood. The film will then deepen Dylan Farrow’s accusations against Allen, Mia Farrow and Allen’s subsequent custody trial, the revelation that Allen started a relationship with Farrow’s adopted daughter Soon-Yi and the media frenzy that surrounded it all that. In addition to this central story, the film will explore Allen’s films as release notes and how “public revelations about the personal lives of artists can lead to reevaluations of their work”.
Allen v. Farrow will feature a mix of home movies, court documents, police evidence and audio tapes never heard before. It will also feature interviews with Mia Farrow, Dylan Farrow, Ronan Farrow, a friend of the Carly Simon family, prosecutor Frank Maco and more. Allen v. Farrow was directed by Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering.
