Currently, the M3 Competition is the ultimate form of the line, a complete four-door performance car that brings 510 horsepower and some good faith on the track to the luxury line. But how does it compare on the track to the oldest, but equally powerful Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, a car that drew all possible reactions from Road and trail?

Auto Express recently they had two cars available and a track to compare them, so they started working on just answering this question.

Both BMW and Alfa Romeo have 503 horsepower, an 8-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The Alfa is lighter and less expensive, while the competition package makes the M3 more relentless and focused on the tracks. In theory, the Alfa Romeo should overtake the BMW by a small margin.
In practice, the result is reversed. While Giulia had a time of 0: 44.4 in the flat track test of the channel, the M3 came in 0: 43.9. Worse for the Alfa, the reviewer enthusiastically praised the dynamics of the BMW, which he describes as not only looking lighter than it is, but actually looking lighter than the Alfa Romeo that hangs its hat on its relatively low weight for the segment.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is still an attractive car, and anyone who compared the two could easily be influenced by its more traditional appearance and more affordable price range, but the M3 Competition first is the market leader for a reason. If a buyer is willing to live with controversial looks and the highest base cost, the new M3 Competition is simply the fastest car.
