How Daniel Berger stood at 18º tee box on Sunday at Pebble Beach, ahead Maverick McNealy was spinning at the club after hitting a 230-yard to 22-foot 3-iron. McNealy would later give two putts to birdie to tie Berger to the top of the leaderboard at 16 below.

The stage was set for Berger.

From 250 yards out, Berger stepped on a 3-wood found the laying surface. Moments later, his 30-foot eagle found the bottom of the glass.

“It was the best shot I ever hit in my life,” said Berger, who closed with 7 under 65 and won by two shots. His final round included just one bogey, four birdies and two eagles. He also reached the second par-5 hole, his fourth eagle of the week.

McNealy’s reaction was also priceless:

Berger, who started last year out of the top 100 in the world ranking due to a wrist injury, entered No. 15 this week. then . Now, after Sunday’s victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Berger holds four Tour titles in his career and is about to flirt with the top 10 in the world. He reached position 13 earlier this season.
