On Sunday, at Lambeau Field at 3:05 pm Eastern Time, the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will fight for the NFC championship and a ticket to the Super Bowl. Green Bay are expected to win – but not by much – so they will need to come into play prepared for a fight.
The Los Angeles Rams usually have all the answers at home, but last week the Packers proved to be a very difficult challenge. Green Bay achieved a solid victory over the Rams, winning 32-18. QB Aaron Rodgers and RB Aaron Jones were among the top game makers at Green Bay, as the former went through two TDs and 296 yards in 36 attempts, in addition to punching a running touchdown and the latter a running touchdown. Near the top of the highlight reel was Rodgers’ 58-yard TD pump for WR Allen Lazard in the fourth quarter.
The Green Bay defense was also present, passing through the offensive line in Los Angeles and serving QB Jared Goff four times, with a total loss of 26 yards. It was a group effort with the contribution of three guys.
Meanwhile, Tampa Bay was more successful in the postseason in their competition last week. They won a 30-20 victory over the New Orleans Saints. The score was tied at 13-13, but the Buccaneers were the best team in the second half. It was another big night for his QB Tom Brady, who went through two TDs and 199 yards in 33 tries, in addition to punching in an accelerated touchdown. Brady ended up with a passer rating of 125.20.
Tampa Bay’s defense was the real obstacle, as it collected three interceptions and a fumble. These interceptions were spread by their defensive unit.
