College football is in full swing. More precisely, spring FCS football is in full swing and one of the most incredible plays of the season took place in Saturday’s game between Weber State and Northern Arizona.

Descending a spot with two seconds remaining on the 50-yard line, Weber State was prepared for an attempt by Ave Maria. Randall Johnson ran to the right to find space and launched a pass that broadcasters immediately commented as having “the distance”. So all that needed to happen was someone in the end zone to pick him up, preferably for Weber State, a member of the Wildcats team. This is exactly what Justin Malone did to the applause of everyone at the stadium when Weber State managed to win on the last breath.

This incredible move came immediately after a crushing trip that northern Arizona had just taken moments before. The Lumberjacks got their touchdown at the end of a 95-yard run that lasted four minutes and 14 moves. But the time left was enough for the Wildcats to get the 15 meters that the team needed to be in position to complete this miraculous move.

The Wildcats are now 3-0, while Northern Arizona drops to 1-2.
