Both Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor are currently in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on official deals for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). “Notorious” will face Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 this weekend (Saturday, January 23, 2021), while “The Eagle” recently had a meeting with Dana White to discuss his future as a fighter, although there was not much clarity after the so popular meeting and the subsequent “announcement”.
Many feared that, as the two fighters had business in the same hotel, their paths would end up crossing and all hell would explode, just like the last two times they had been in close contact with each other.

And just yesterday (Monday, January 18, 2021), the two men narrowly missed meeting in the hotel lobby. After McGregor arrived with his family, a video (courtesy of Full Reptile) shows Nurmagomedov and his entourage coming down the same lobby seconds later.
Fortunately, they have not seen each other or there is no way of saying what may have happened, although it is safe to say that cooler heads probably would have prevailed, since McGregor was with his son in his arms, with his pregnant bride and daughter not far behind.
“The Eagle” stated that he has no plans to stay around to see McGregor fighting Poirier, and plans to return home after seeing his cousin, Umar Nurmagomedov, make his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Island 8 tomorrow morning (Weds. , January 20, 2021).
Of course, that still leaves a little chance for “Notorious” and “The Eagle” to run into each other.
