Janet Yellen faces the Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday for her confirmation hearing for the position of Treasury Secretary. President-elect Joe Biden announced the nomination earlier this month.
The former Federal Reserve chairman is expected to express his views on a variety of issues, from the new government’s monetary policy to his views on the need for stimulus to offset the economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
