Why can’t you broadcast Freaks and Geeks Connected?
If you were having trouble finding Freaks and Geeks online before, you were not alone. This is the first time that the series is available for streaming.
Series executive producer Judd Apatow explained last year that the team was having trouble cleaning up the music used on the show, which was one of the main reasons for Freaks and Geeks was not available for broadcast. This issue appears to have been resolved, as fans will be able to broadcast Freaks and Geeks on Hulu with its original soundtrack intact.

although Freaks and Geeks aired on NBC from 1999 to 2000, it was not until 2004 that an official soundtrack was released. The 25-track Freaks and Geeks score and score, includes songs by Joan Jett, Rush, Warren Zevon, Styx and other artists from the eighties (the period when the show was set), along with recordings of the cast and Michael Andrews’ original score.
The series’ 18 episodes, however, also feature songs by artists such as Grateful Dead, The Who, Cheap Trick, Van Halen and Rush. All of these songs must be transferred from the original episodes to the Freaks and Geeks streaming episodes on Hulu.
