Vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vaccine … The country music legend Dolly Parton had it first coronavirus vaccine filmed on Tuesday, and she adjusted one of her most famous hit songs for the occasion. Parton shared a video of herself receiving the photo, but before doing so, she sang a new version of her 1973 song, Jolene.
Instead of singing, “Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene / I’m begging you, please don’t take my man / Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene / Please don’t take him just because you can,” Parton gave to lyrics are a modern twist: “Vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vaccine / I beg you, please don’t hesitate / Vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vaccine / Because once you’re dead, it’s a little too late.”

Parton took the vaccine the same day that President Joe Biden announced that there would be enough vaccine for all adults in the United States by the end of May.
