Demi Lovato released the trailer for her upcoming documentation, Dancing with the Devil. The four-part series debuts on YouTube Originals on March 23.

Christina Aguilera and Elton John also appear in the clip, addressing the challenges of growing in the spotlight, as well as her recovery. Family and close friends that the singer hid her struggles well, to the point that she said she had made one of her best performances at a show just a month before her overdose.

“I hit,” she explains, before revealing how close to death she was. “I had three strokes, I had a heart attack. My doctors said I had another five to 10 minutes [to live]. “

As frank as she is about her addiction, she seems equally determined about her future. “I have had many lives, like my cat, you know. I’m in my ninth life, ”she says. “I’m ready to go back to doing what I love, which is making music.”
