SPARTANBURG, SC (AP) – Davion Warren had 34 points, his career record, when Hampton beat South Carolina 69-68 on Thursday night.

Warren hit two free throws six seconds from the end for a four-point lead before Dalvin White crowned his sixth 3-point basket in the game.

Chris Shelton had 13 points for Hampton (6-8, 5-4 Big South Conference). Dajour Dickens added 10 rebounds.

Everette Hammond scored 21 points, the best of the season, for the Spartans (3-10, 3-4). White drew his career high with 20 points. Tommy Bruner had 10 points.
