CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – Some unpredictable showers will continue to move inland for the rest of the night. Not so cold tonight with some showers and cloudy skies, the minimum will be in the 50’s. Make sure to keep your umbrella handy for the next few days. Sparse showers will be a possibility on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, with some rays of sunshine mixed on both days. Temperatures will be much hotter with highs in the 70s on New Year’s Eve and mid-70s on New Year’s Day. A cold front will approach the area at the end of Friday, bringing a small chance of storms. This front will stagnate across the area on Friday night and Saturday morning and a low pressure area will follow along the Gulf of Mexico front through the area on Saturday. This will increase the chance of rain even later on Saturday until Saturday night. The rain should end early Sunday morning with morning clouds giving way to the afternoon sun.
