War zone report will make Modern Warfare 2 players very happy

One new Call of Duty: Warzone report has Modern Warfare 2 buzzing players. Following last year’s Modern war restart, and with a restart of Modern Warfare 2 probably around the corner, hype for the Modern war the sub-brand has been the highest for some time, perhaps partly due to a lack of enthusiasm about Black Ops Cold War. And a new report only increased that hype.

Taking to Twitter, ModernWarzone relays the word that Soap John “Soap” MacTavish, a prominent character in the original Modern war story arc, “can reach any day” in both Modern war and War zone. ModernWarzone notes that they have no idea when new content will arrive in the next game of 2019, but it looks like when it drops, probably sooner or later, it could add Soap as an operator.

If you have déjà vu, it is because this is not the first time that we have heard that Soap is coming for both of you War zone and Modern war. In fact, we’ve heard about it for some time, however, despite that, Soap is not yet in the game, and there is no – official – word about this change. Still, where there is smoke, there is fire, and ModernWarzone is a great source.

Furthermore, while this is not the first time we have heard this Soap report, it is the first update in a while confirming that the beloved character is still coming.

That said, despite all the smoke, despite the source, and despite the complaint history, everything here should still be seen with a grain of salt. Not only is nothing here official, but subject to change.

At the time of publication, Activision and co. did not comment on this report in any capacity. If this happens, we will be sure to update the story with what is provided.

Activision also did not comment on last week’s bad news involving Modern war, or more specifically, its sequel. Nor did he comment on last week’s massive leak in relation to the Warzone’s new (and commented) map.
