Wandersong dev’s Chicory now brings its cute dogs and magic brushes to PS4 and PS5 • Eurogamer.net

Along with the previously announced PC version.

Chicory: A Colorful Tale, the charming game of magic brushes and adorable dogs from Finji, is now headed for PS4 and PS5 along with its previously announced PC release.

Chicory is an idea by Wandersong developer Greg Lobanov and features songs by the composer Celeste Lena Raine. He traces the adventures of that dog, who must use a magic brush to restore the color of the world after its original owner, Chicory, disappears.

What follows is something like a mix of Zelda and Animal Crossing, combining exploration and puzzle solving – based on your brush’s constantly expanding skills – with the animals of a city to help and help. There are collectible clothes, plants and furniture for fans of personalization, in addition to the cooperative mode for those who want to play some color with a friend.

Christian Donlan of Eurogamer was completely delighted with Chicory when he demoed in 2019, saying “The fun that can be done with Chicory ink is not in doubt, so, but more than all that, your world is a delight, full of interesting characters, sometimes thorny to talk to and full of treasure chests that allow you to change your standard clothes for something a little more interesting. “

There is still no precise date for Chicory’s arrival, but Finji says he will arrive on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 later this year.
