The first five episodes of WandaVision are already available to watch on Disney + and the two most recent have introduced Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis. This marks Dennings’ first time in the Marvel cinematic universe since Thor: The Dark World was launched in 2013. Dennings is returning to the MCU during one of his most ambitious projects. In fact, she said recently Extra TV that she thought the idea was “crazy” when she first heard the speech.
In the interview, Dennings explains that her first meeting for the series was in “a very secret conference room” and she had to sign many NDAs before entering. She added that the walls were “covered with sitcom references” as well as comic books. “I was like, ‘How are you going to do this? This is crazy. This concept, I had never heard of it before. ‘ Sure, they did incredibly well, but it’s hard to explain. “Dennings goes on to say that the” testament to the show “is the fact that his mother, who has never seen an Avengers movie, loves it. Dennings fans will be thrilled to hear that Darcy is likely to appear in more future Marvel projects. “There are some things I did for Marvel that are coming out that are not [WandaVision]. But I probably can’t say, “said Dennings Extra. “Let’s just leave it at that.”
Recently, Dennings was talking to Keep it podcast about WandaVision and revealed that Darcy’s role was originally meant to be a couple of scenes, but her friendship with Natalie Portman (Jane Foster) inspired a larger role.
“Because Natalie and I are already friends, I remember exactly that,” Dennings shared. “I enter the room and I am very shy. I went in and sat down and Natalie hadn’t arrived yet and everyone was so nice. Natalie came in and sat on my lap because we are friends. I think our friendship started to infect them [like] its purity and love. Slowly, Darcy became more involved, and I thought, ‘Why are they adding me to the scenes?’ “She added:” If I’m being honest, the magic of friendship is the reason I’m here today. “
WandaVisionThe first five episodes of now are being broadcast on Disney +, with new episodes launching on Fridays. The rest of the 2021 schedule includes The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which is scheduled to debut at Disney + on March 19, Black Widow in theaters on May 7, Loki debuting at Disney + in May, Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Ringis in theaters on July 9, What if… at Disney + this summer, Eternals in theaters on November 5th, Mrs. Marvel and Hawkeye coming to Disney + at the end of the year and Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 in theaters on December 17th.
