‘WandaVision’ first reactions: Disney + Show is funny, smart, weird

Episodes from the Marvel spinoff series start arriving at Disney + on January 15.

Social media reactions to the first screenings of the next Disney + show “WandaVision” are starting to emerge before the series’s premiere on January 15.

So far, there are many euphoric accolades for the spinoff of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which focuses on Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) as they try to live an idealized suburban life in the small town of Westview, where residents don’t know about. your powers. But the boundary between reality and illusion begins to blur for the pair in this series created by Jac Schaeffer, based on the character Scarlet Witch created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

The series is directed by Matt Shakman. Schaeffer serves as principal writer and executive producer alongside Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige. The series also starred Kathryn Hahn in a crazy role, in addition to Teyonah Parris, Kat Dennings and Randall Park.

“WandaVision” was originally scheduled to be the second show for Disney + ‘s Marvel Cinematic Universe, after “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, which was delayed in 2021 due to production challenges related to the pandemic. But now, “WandaVision” will be the first.

Both programs are part of a growing arsenal of Marvel series that will debut on Disney +; others include “Hawkeye” and “Loki”, which will focus on the characters of Jeremy Renner and Tom Hiddleston from their respective Marvel films.
