WandaVision Finale presents unexpected Easter egg for X-Men

The final episode of WandaVision crashed at Disney + today and presented a satisfactory conclusion to Marvel’s first Disney + series. The show answered many questions, including the true identity of Evan Peters’ character. Warning: spoilers Forward! Most fans of WandaVision agree that the show stopped at the threshold, however, many fans are irritated by the revelation that Evans was not playing Quicksilver X-Men’s, but a man named “Ralph Bohner”. This funny but disappointing revelation is a hot topic on social media today, and although fans may not have been able to connect with the X-Men they expected, it was still fun X-men: Days of a forgotten future easter egg featured in the episode.

During the final confrontation, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) asks her sons Billy (Julian Hilliard) and Tommy (Jett Klyne) to look after the SWORD soldiers on their way. They use their powers to disarm the agents, which includes Tommy’s super speed. While taking out the weapons, Tommy had a little fun and also stole the cap and sunglasses from one of the agents. This is very reminiscent of the iconic Quicksilver moment in Days of past past in which his mutant powers were displayed in an incredible slow-motion scene defined as “Time in a Bottle”. You can check Tommy and Quicksilver side by side in the tweet below:

Here’s what Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige said earlier about Peters’ cast in WandaVision:

“This is one of the fun things about developing these things or making the sky blue in the rooms,” said Feige The wrap. “My favorite part of the process is always the beginning, when we are discovering what something can be, and at the end, when we are refining it and putting it in the world. So, there were all kinds of discussions, but I believe we ended up going with what you saw it relatively early in the development process. It’s just another way that certain people were playing with Wanda. “
