WandaVision Finale has half-credit and post-credit scenes

The final episode of WandaVision’s season, Episode 9, has middle and post-credit scenes – make sure you don’t hang up too early. Episodes 7 and 8 of WandaVision were the only episodes in the series to include half credits scenes, but the ending marks the first and only time the show includes a second scene after the credits have rolled – something very familiar to fans of the show. Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As is almost always the case, these credit streams portend the future of the MCU. If you haven’t seen it yet, don’t go any further – but if you want to know what’s inside, we’ll go into detail below.

Full spoilers go on to episode 9 of WandaVision! The scene in the middle of the credits revolves around Monica Rambeau, who showed more of her newly acquired powers for most of the show. After speaking with Jimmy Woo and asking for Darcy, Monica said to go to the Westview theater by an unknown agent. After arriving and seeing no one else, the agent reveals herself to be a Skrull, and explains that “an old friend of [Monica’s mother]”I would like to meet Monica – asked where, she points up.

This clearly makes reference to Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, who we last saw in the post-credits scene in Spider-Ma: Far From Home (where he also used Skrull agents to keep in touch with Peter Parker) on board of what appeared to be a space station. It looks like Monica will join Fury in some way, probably as part of the Secret Invasion series, in which Fury and Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) are investigating a Skrull sect that has infiltrated the highest levels of authority in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The post-credit scene is a little less easy to interpret. We see that Wanda has moved to a remote cabin in the mountains, apparently living a simple life alone. However, a final revelation shows what appears to be an astral projection of the Scarlet Witch researching Darkhold (the magic book that Agnes refers to at the end). When the scene ends, we hear Billy and Tommy begging for help.

With Billy and Tommy apparently missing, along with the version of Vision created by Wanda’s memory at the end of the series, this seems to point to the idea that parts of their children remain alive somewhere in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Or should it be Multiverse? We know that Scarlet Witch will be part of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the projection of her reading is a return to the scenes from the original Doctor Strange film, in which Stephen Strange learned magic while his body slept.

Perhaps Wanda’s interest in Strange is to learn how to move between realities in search of her children. This could also be a link to the widely accepted theory that Mephisto will become part of the MCU in its most recent phase. Although the demon lord was not revealed as the great villain of WandaVision, we saw what could be a reference to him in the Loki series trailer. Given that Mephisto has a tendency to collect souls, perhaps Billy and Tommy have become part of their collection – which would explain why they are begging for help too.

But before we get to none from the above, we still have the good old fashioned action from The Falcon and Winter Soldier yet to come, with the series starting at Disney + on March 19.
