Walmart, Sam’s Club COVID vaccine registration details, how to schedule an appointment

As the launch of the COVID-19 vaccine in the U.S. continues, more than 5,000 Walmart stores and Sam’s Club locations are now “operationally and clinically ready to administer vaccines,” the company noted in a statement Wednesday by Lisa Smith , Senior Director of Health and Wellness at Walmart.

Eligible individuals can apply to receive the vaccine by making an appointment on the websites of Walmart and Sam’s Club.

This week, the company is preparing to begin administering COVID-19 vaccines in Maryland, Texas, Delaware, Indiana and Washington, DC “to eligible populations as determined by each district and state,” according to the statement.

Since last week and continuing through this week, Walmart has been reported to provide vaccines in a handful of stores to those eligible in Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, New Jersey, South Carolina, Chicago and Puerto Rico, a spokesman for Walmart told Reuters last Thursday. Walmart is already vaccinating health workers in New Mexico and Arkansas.

Smith noted on Wednesday: “We are already hearing great comments from our patients in places where we are administering vaccines according to state eligibility, such as our Sam’s Club in Greenville, South Carolina. It is exciting to see the gratitude and optimism of these patients as they are vaccinated.

“We cannot wait until more people across the country have the opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, once their state has the allocation and determines eligibility for broader groups of people,” added Smith.

How to book COVID-19 vaccines at Walmart and Sam’s Club

Speaking for Newsweek, a Walmart spokesman said: “Walmart and Sam’s Club are due to launch programmers online next week, so that qualified populations can enroll directly on our website. Until then, patients who wish to make an appointment or those who confirm whether qualify in designated priority groups should check the state health department website. “

Those wishing to make an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccination can access a store locator on the Walmart website to see where reservations are available. “Currently, the store locator is only available for the Chicago area,” said a Walmart spokesman. Newsweek.

At the time of the report, vaccination reserves were available at eight Walmart locations in Chicago.

Once users click on the location of their choice, they will need to check your eligibility before clicking to schedule your appointment. “Please bring proof of your eligibility when you come for your appointment,” advises the website.

Currently, the Sam’s Club website does not have a store locator to see which Sam’s Club locations are offering vaccines. The site currently directs users back to Walmart’s central page for information on COVID-19 vaccination.

Monitor the Walmart and Sam’s Club websites for more information on how to apply to schedule COVID-19 vaccination appointments when they become available.
