Prince Andrew’s sex accuser Virginia Giuffre said Buckingham Palace – and “the company” – should “bow their heads in shame” after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“Well, at least we know who #meganandharry are talking about when they say that #BuckinghamPalace & #TheFirm protected other royalty, but it wouldn’t protect them and their newborn baby #Archie,” Giuffre said in a tweet on Tuesday.
“Everyone should bow their heads in shame,” added the 37-year-old actress to her 88,000 followers, comparing the way the Palace handled the claims made against the Duke of York and how Meghan and Harry were treated.
Palace was accused of having “double standards” to investigate the charges of bullying raised against Markle, but not allegations of sexual abuse involving Andrew.
Believed to be the queen’s favorite son, Andrew, 61, was involved in the scandal involving pedophile Jeffrey Epstein after Giuffre claimed she was forced to sleep with the king when she was 17.
The scandal over Andrew’s friendship with the financier led the Duke of York to step away from his royal duties in November 2019 after a disastrous interview with the BBC in which he made a series of bizarre claims to defend himself against Giuffre’s claims.
“The only crisis that the constitution will see is if they continue to bury the truth and spread lies. #BuckinghamPalace needs to address #PrinceAndrew and the lack of any form of responsibility ”, Giuffre added in your comments Tuesday.
In other comments she posted on twitter comparing Markle’s alleged intimidation against aides while she was a senior royalty, Giuffre said she “accused [Andrew] much worse and still hearing crickets. “
She added: “I understand with all my heart the need for due process. That’s all I asked, investigate at will.
“I have reliable witnesses, flight records and the photo. What does Andy have? Woking pizza and no sweat? Doesn’t all this deserve some form of investigation?
“For a long time I waited for some form of justice and for a long time Andrew escaped having to pay for abusing me as a minor and publicly abusing me with his atrocious words and denials,” Giuffre continued.
“I hope that one day I will get what I deserve.”
A source close to Prince Andrew, however, rejected Giuffre.
“The Duke of York remains removed from his royal duties until the legal process is resolved and as long as a legal investigation into the circumstances surrounding Jeffrey Epstein continues,” the source told Sun.
“This investigation is not being conducted via Twitter,” added the source
Buckingham Palace never ordered an investigation into the charges against Andrew, who was accused of having sex with Giuffre after she was trafficked by Epstein and his alleged “lady” Ghislaine Maxwell.
The Duke of York vehemently denied the charges.
Markle and Harry denied the intimidation charges against the Duchess, although they are expected to be involved in the investigation if any formal allegations come to light.
