The wait is over. Megastar Chiranjeevi released the teaser for Virata Parvam, star of Rana and Sai Pallavi. Passing through the teaser, Virata Parvam recites an epic wartime love story between a rebellious poet and a rustic girl who is a fervent fan of his poetry.
The love story is narrated from the point of view of Sai Pallavi and this clarifies why Rana wanted to mention his name first. “How long to erase the marks of hegemony? How long to break the barriers of discrimination? Taking down the farmers … the owners prospered ”, raises Rana’s voice through her poetry. Aranya is his pseudonym and Sai Pallavi is a dedicated fan of him and his writings.
“Her love is the one who raised the curtain on hidden stories,” says the statement in the teaser that describes Sai Pallavi’s adoration for Rana. She leaves her family and enters the jungle in search of her love. Police brutality is shown in a scene where police officers touch it improperly.
Rana is seen in an action-packed role when Comrade Ravanna, Priyamani and Naveen fight him. Although the love story is epic, the action sequences are just as stunning. Sai Pallavi’s last sequence using the word beep shows the rawness of storytelling.
Venu Udugula shines as a screenwriter and director, as the dialogues have a strong impact. The production design is simply brilliant, while working with the camera and music are other great assets. Suresh Bobbili is Tollywood’s most underrated music director and his work is appreciable.
Overall, the Virata Parvam teaser raises the bar for the film produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri and Suresh Babu. We need to wait until April 30 to witness the epic saga of wartime love.
