The Vikings put tight end Kyle Rudolph on reserve for injury on Tuesday, ending his season and possibly his career in Minnesota.

Rudolph may need a pay cut to return next season. He has a salary cap of $ 9.45 million in 2021 and cutting it would save Vikings $ 5.1 million.

But this is a discussion for later.

For the time being, the Vikings have hired novice point guard Kyle Hinton to replace Rudolph in the squad. Hinton was chosen for the seventh round at Washburn University.

He spent the first 15 games on the training team, learning the guard position after spending his university career in tackle.
