New video shows the moment when a woman was fatally shot while protesters stormed the Capitol on Wednesday.
The one-minute clip posted on YouTube begins showing a group of four armed policemen climbing an ornate Capitol staircase.
They arrive at a door where they join a crowd of people, many wearing red MAGA hats and some waving American flags, who are pushing against a double door with barricades.
Amid many shouts and shoves, a woman with a backpack with the flag motif, identified as Ashli Babbitt, is seen from behind when being lifted by others in the crowd.
She begins to climb the open frame of one of the door windows, from which the glass has been broken or removed.
Then a shrill shot sounds and Babbitt falls backwards into the crowd – apparently thrown out the window on the other side, where at least four uniformed policemen can be seen entering and exiting the doors in the distance.
A man wearing a suit, tie and identification cord is seen frantically drawing the attention of the policemen at the side of the door, grabbing them by the shoulders and pointing at the dying woman.
It cannot be seen at that point, and the clip is cut.
A San Diego TV news channel identified Babbitt, a 14-year veteran of the United States Air Force.
Babbitt is a strong supporter of President Trump, her husband told the station.
