Next week sees the arrival of Crash Bandicoot 4: it was time on the switch. In preparation for this exciting third-party release, YouTuber Cycu1 assembled a “initial graphical comparison” video in 1080p, comparing the cutscenes of the Nintendo version with the launch of the PlayStation 4 Pro.

At first glance, it is honestly difficult to say which is which, but we recognize that there are a number of differences. When this game arrives on March 12, Nintendo fans will be able to experience the game in 720p in portable and 1080p coupled mode – with 30 FPS in both modes.

Here’s what Toys for Bob creative producer Lou Studdert said when asked about the most challenging aspect of making the game work on the Switch, during a chat with our sister site Push Square:

“I mean, it’s the same challenge of bringing it to any console, honestly. There’s a lot of content in the game. There are so many levels, there are so many different ways to play, there are all these different things to make sure it works. So for our engineers , our artists, our quality control team, just ensuring that it is a perfect transition and that it performs as well as the consoles we originally launched it in. It is a great undertaking.
