[VIDEO] ‘Real World New York’ meeting trailer – Return of original cast

Almost three decades after they are no longer educated, the original seven strangers from MTV will begin to come true (again) with a series of documentary episodes on Paramount +.

The streamer released on Friday the official trailer for The Real World Homecoming: New York, who summons the stars of the 1992 series – Becky Blasband, Andre Comeau, Heather B. Gardner, Julie Gentry, Norman Korpi, Eric Nies and Kevin Powell – back to the Big Apple to live together again and have their lives recorded. The show will be available for broadcast on Thursday, March 4.

“It’s been 29 years and we’re still having the same conversations,” notes Gentry in the trailer, as we are treated to excerpts from the group’s heated discussions about racism, sexuality and more. As Nies says, “Sometimes things fall apart before they get better.”

Of course, in this season of meeting The real world it’s just one of several nostalgic treats that Paramount + has in store for fans of classic MTV reality shows. Not only is the streamer restarting Traffic rules for a new generation, but it’s also finally giving us The challenge: all the stars, with some of the most iconic players in the game – including Mark, Trishelle, Beth, Syrus, Ruthie and Big Easy – ready to return for another chance at glory.
