A recently reappeared video shows Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene harassing survivor David Hogg at Parkland School, on Capitol Hill, shortly after the 2018 attack, calling him a “coward”.
Fred Guttenberg, whose daughter was among the 17 people killed in the school shooting, shared the video on Twitter on Wednesday.
The video shows Greene following Hogg as he walked towards the Capitol in March 2018 to defend gun control, a few weeks after he survived the February 14 shooting. Hogg was 17 at the time. Greene was elected to Congress in November 2020.

The footage shows Greene bombing Hogg with questions, asking why he is using children to promote his anti-gun agenda and telling him that there would be no school shootings if more people carried guns.
Hogg ignores Greene’s questions and continues to walk in silence.
“Why are you using children as a barrier? You don’t know how to defend your position? Look, I’m an American citizen, I own a gun. I have a hidden license, I carry a gun to protect myself and you’re using your lobby and the money behind it and the kids to try to take my Second Amendment rights, “says Greene in the video.
“Don’t you have anything to say about yourself? Can’t you defend your position?” she continues.
“You know, if school zones were protected by armed security guards, there would be no mass shootings at schools. Did you know that? The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun. And yet, you are attacking our Second Amendment. And it has nothing to say. No words. “

Eventually, Greene stops following Hogg and turns to address the camera, complaining about how Hogg got meetings with lawmakers while she didn’t. She also accuses Hogg, without evidence, of being paid to lobby for gun control.
“Guess what, I’m a gun owner, I’m an American citizen and I have nothing. But this guy with his funding George Soros and his big liberal funding has it all. I want you to think about it. That’s where we are. And he’s a coward. He can’t say a word because he can’t defend his position, “says Greene.
Hogg responded to the video that went viral on Wednesday, Twitter, saying it is an example of the kind of intimidation that other survivors of armed violence face when trying to prevent further mass shootings.

“While we are fighting for peace, we are also facing huge amounts of death threats and armed intimidation simply because we no longer want our friends to die,” said Hogg. “This is not the country that we should be and it is not the country that we should be.”
He added: “Part of the reason why we are so calm [Greene] harassing us was because we’ve been through similar things so many times before. Only this time it was on video – and they are in Congress now. What you see in that video is about 0.1% of what we spent in a year. “

Insider contacted Greene for comment.
Greene is one of the most controversial Republicans to be elected to Congress in 2020, thanks to her past support for QAnon baseless conspiracy theory.
Last week, school shooting survivors asked Greene to resign when a report found that she agreed with a social media post that said the shooting in Parkland was staged.
A CNN report published on Tuesday found that Greene had already shown support for the assassination of Democratic leaders like former President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Earlier this week, the office of minority leader in the House, Kevin McCarthy, said he would speak to Greene about his “disturbing” comments on social media.
