Verizon Galaxy S20 FE receives its major update from Android 11

The original timeline for Samsung’s release of Android 11 and One UI 3.0 updates pointed to the Galaxy S20 FE get access in January and they found it today. The Verizon Galaxy S20 FE is expected to start receiving its biggest update so far this week.

Labeled as build RP1A.200720.012.G781VSQU1CTLC and with the December Android security patch, Verizon actually says the update will be live on January 14th, so if you don’t see it immediately, wait a few more hours.

As we have said several times, this update brings features like the new Conversations in notifications section, Bubbles, improved privacy controls (ex: single permissions, permissions that automatically reset, etc.) and improvements on-screen. You can see the full changelog for One UI 3.0 in this post. To find out what’s new in Android 11, go here.

To check and join your friends who have the S20 and Note 20, go to Settings> System updates> Check for updates.

  • JANUARY 19 UPDATE: Hearing from readers that the Unlocked and T-Mobile models are also receiving this update. I imagine the AT&T models too. Stay tuned to the G781U1UEU1CTLD build.
