Vanessa Bryant criticized Meek Mill for her leaked music that references Kobe Bryant’s tragic helicopter crash.
The leaked song, “Don’t Worry”, features fellow rapper Lil Baby and includes the lyrics: “If I miss it, I will go out with my choppa, it will be another Kobe”.
Fans have already expressed their anger at the line, and now the widow of the late NBA star has gone to Instagram to call the words “disrespectful”
“Dear @meekmill, I find this line extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period, ”wrote Vanessa, 38, in her Instagram Story on Monday night. “I’m not familiar with any of your songs, but I believe that you can do better than that.”
She continued: “If you are a fan, fine, there is a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact. “
Mill, 33, previously rejected critics who called him to the line in a bizarre response, tweeting, “Someone promote a narrative and you follow it…. all the antics on the Internet can’t stop me…. s – t like a zombie land or something! Lol. “
He later added, “They are paying to influence you now … it’s almost like mind control ‘waking up’.”
In January 2020, Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, were among the nine people who died in a helicopter accident in California. The NBA superstar was 41 years old.
Kobe leaves Vanessa and her daughters Natalia, 18, Bianka, 4, and Capri, 1.
