Vanessa Bryant calls Meek Mill because of her obscure lyrics about Kobe’s death

Vanessa Bryant may not be familiar enough with the music of Tame Mill to say whether she likes it or not, but she was definitely ready to take a stand against some of his lyrical content when referring to the horrible helicopter accident that cost her husband and daughter.

The first line drew the attention of Kobe Bryant fans and the internet in general last week – and they had a lot to say about it at the time – and during the break, apparently, it was brought to the attention of his widow as well.

She was not impressed with what she saw.

“I find this line extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period,” Vanessa wrote in her Instagram Stories on Monday night, about a screenshot of the lyrics in question.

“I’m not familiar with any of your songs, but I believe you can do better than that,” she continued. “If you’re a fan, fine, there is a better way to show your admiration for my husband. It lacks respect and tact.”

While it remains unclear whether there is anything to do with Vanessa calling him or whether it is just a matter of inconvenient timing, Meek Mill started a storm of tweets shortly after Vanessa’s post hit her stories.

“I’m going wild in this shit … f #% k your feelings!” he wrote in his first tweet, following her post very quickly. This was followed by statements including “Ion trust people have to play raw ……” and “Head over to n #% ga tryna pull my card!” and “Bobby back … we needed this.”

He continued for at least the next few hours, with a statement that appears to be a response to – well, something. “I don’t think we are in the same sign as you .. I don’t see what you are seeing … I’m looking at the net laughing as if it has been sharpened,” he tweeted. “I say random shit all day on social … it becomes a tendency to hate me every now and then, but I feed off that shit literally beast.”

But while it is unclear what exactly he is referring to in these posts, if he took a moment to explore the comments below each one, it is very evident that his fans and followers know exactly what Vanessa wrote.

“No way is that how you respond to a widow who said her lyrics were disrespectful to her husband,” wrote a follower after his first tweet. There were similar feelings in response to each of your posts.

Vanessa Bryant’s post and Meek Mills’ response (or totally unrelated tweets) quickly sent both virals to the top of Twitter’s trending topics while the social media platform weighed in on the controversy.
