Valve adds a new way to filter discounts during Steam sales

Steam sales can be overwhelming and any help with browsing them is greatly appreciated. Usually, the games you see featured on the platform’s home page need no introduction, and it can be difficult to find the store’s most attractive discounts. Valve is trying to change that with a new feature from Steam Labs called Faceted Navigation, which allows you to narrow down what you’re looking for while trying to find discounts during platform sales.

The tool allows you to browse some of Steam’s discounted games using categories such as visuals, themes, moods and features, and you can combine several to find something specific. For example, ask Steam to show third-person science fiction games and it will highlight Dead space 3 and Star Wars Battlefront. Faceted Navigation will not show all discounted games, but will highlight some of the most notable. To try it out, click on the Steam Labs tab at the top of the interface and press “Try the Sales Exploration Experiment”.
