VALORANT players found new walls of one-sided Sage in Split that make access to site B much more difficult.
VALORANT Patch 2.01 significantly updated Split to make it easier for attackers to enter the sites, removed deep corners where enemies could hide, and limited the amount of 50/50 spy points that players can find. But the update also introduced new objects that players can use to their advantage to create one-sided walls and outside angles that attackers don’t expect.
One of the new updates in Split is a stack of two boxes between Heaven B and main entrance B. This angle is designed to remove a 50/50 spy point in Heaven B and make it easier for players to enter the site.
But Sage players can reach the top of the box by jumping from Sky B or being boosted by Raze’s bag. Both methods take a little practice to master, but are relatively easy to recreate.
Once the players are at the top of the boxes, they can create a long wall covering the entire view of Sky B from the main entrance B. Making a long wall requires players to leave the edge of an object and implant the wall when they are approximately at the same level as the object. This extends Sage’s wall farther than it normally does, allowing players to create these unique one-sided walls.
If done correctly, defenders in Sky B can shoot enemies who enter the location without being seen. They can also stand on the wall and watch the entrance from a different angle, which most players don’t expect.
Attackers can face enemies in Sky B if they crouch, but this will likely catch them off guard the first time they encounter the wall. Combining the external angle and the unilateral B Heaven view, players can easily maintain location B for several rounds.
Players can also place a Sage wall in the boxes at the back of the site, which can be used to face enemies trying to plant the spit. Smart players can destroy the first segment of the wall visible in B Main to completely surprise enemies when they enter the site.
Advanced players have the option of deploying the Sage wall above the entrance to Site B, but this method requires a teammate to propel him into a box in the corner. Crouch boosting VALORANT it’s a tricky trick, but players have found consistent and easy ways to learn.
Sage can deploy a long wall above the entrance to location B and surprise enemies before entering the area. The wall also creates multiple angles, so Sage can move around to confuse the attackers.
The new one-sided walls in Split make it difficult to pass through location B if used correctly. It is not clear whether this was an intentional design choice or whether Riot Games will address the points in a future update. Attackers should be careful, however, if they see a wise enemy in Split.
