VALORANT Episode 2 features an ‘easier to understand’ rating system and regional rating tables

VALORANT’s frustratingly, up and down arrows are no longer clear.

Riot described several rating updates debuting with VALORANT Episode two tomorrow, offering a much-needed change to the ambiguous MMR system. In addition, the regional leaderboard will now give elite players more incentives to move up the rankings.

Senior producer Ian “Brighthyz” Fielding and competitive designer Jon “EvrMoar” Walker explained that their goal was to show players what they heard, offering a “fairer and easier to understand rating system, more rewarding recognition for their achievements and a way to show who is the best of the best. “

Instead of the up and down arrows being the only indicator of your rating progress, Riot is introducing a rating rating system (RR). VALORANT will now use a progress bar that shows your proximity to the ranking, but only for players between Ferro and Diamante. The rankings of the Immortal and Radiant players will change to the leaderboard.

The maximum RR that players can win with a victory will be 50, while the maximum that you can lose with a defeat will be 30. The minimum RR that you can win with a win or defeat will be 10. And the maximum that you can increase by a drawing will be 20 based on individual performance.

To demote, players will have to lose a match while at RR zero. You will then be placed at 80 RR in the lowest rank. During the promotion, players will start with 10 RR in the new ranking – and you can expect a mini celebration during the promotion.

VALORANT’s The new ranking system will feature the top 500 Radiant players by region. Immortal will represent about one percent of players in the region and will be reduced to just one ranking (as opposed to three different ones).

To enter the leaderboard, players will have to play at least 50 ranked games and require at least one competitive match within a period of seven days. Banned players will not appear on the leaderboard.

O VALORANT the classified season, as well as the entire content of Episode Two, begins tomorrow.
