Valheim’s new patch makes stealth even better

Valheim is a Viking sandbox survival game that is exploding on Steam, selling one million copies since launch in early access. On Wednesday, developer Iron Gate released an update that makes some things more manageable.

The two biggest changes that players should know are related to stealth and deathquitos. Stealth now has a HUD that shows whether enemies are alerted to its presence or not. Sneak attacks, especially with a knife or bow, do a ton of damage to enemies, so it’s good to know if you’re able to hit a devastating shot or not. Deathsquitos, a suitable name for the giant enemy mosquitoes that used to attack the Vikings in one shot, were also nerfed to cause less damage.

Here are the full patch notes released by Iron Gate, which are minimalist, but add some quality of life changes. It seems that players will have a harder time teleporting ore across the map, as well as cheating resources, so fans who rely on sneaky methods to progress should be aware of this new patch.
