Valheim patch makes campfire farming more difficult

Valheim receives small regular updates, but as small updates happen, today was a reasonably large selection of tweaks and fixes for the Viking survival simulator.

Among the changes are an increase in the inventory space of the reinforced chest to 6×4, an adjustment to make it easier to hit several enemies with a battle ax and more floating jumps so that they float in the water.

These seem useful adjustments, but the fire, the fire and the fireplace will now also “take damage when dealing with damage”, which will make it more difficult for players to build industrial-scale operations to cultivate certain enemies (and even bosses) by burning them until death.

The patch also brings a lot of fixes, including continuous tweaks to the game’s network that should help you “work better on low-bandwidth connections” and better detect bad connections.

The console command to enable debug commands is now “devcommands” instead of “imacheater”, which seems a little more friendly. You will also need to first enable the console now, adding “-console” as a boot argument within Steam. We need to update our Valheim cheats page.

You can see the full list of changes on Steam. If you still don’t know what’s going on with Valheim, I suggest reading Ed’s posts about the carrot saga. If you Does If you know what it is about, I suggest checking out some mods, like this crazy Attack On Valheim that adds Attack On Titan-style claw hooks to the game.
