Valerie Bertinelli returned to television for the first time since her ex-husband, Eddie Van Halen, died in October.
The 60-year-old actress appeared on “Today” for a culinary segment, and host Hoda Kotb told her it was great to see her return to work.
“You have been in our hearts, we have been thinking about you. We have been thinking about your son, Wolfie. And we are wondering how you are doing right now,” she said.
“It is so good to see you too,” replied Bertinelli, getting emotional. “I don’t know why I’m crying. You know when you hear voices and see people you feel a connection with and then … you always make me cry.”
