Southern California has opened more sites to run a COVID-19 vaccine that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. In Los Angeles County, health officials have warned that without further vaccine shipments, the county will not be fully vaccinated until next year.
On Saturday night, vaccination sites across the country closed their doors and canceled appointments as frustration with supply problems increased.
The vaccine crisis comes as scientists care that a new, more infectious strain of the UK could become dominant in the United States.
This week, Jeff Wilson’s drugstore in Pittsburgh administered his last dose, unsure when the state would deliver more. He said, “I ordered 1,000 doses and they were unable to give me any response.”

In Texas, taking doses is like playing the lottery.
“Unfortunately, we don’t have enough to give to every provider in the state, every week. And then we have to choose and choose, ”said Chris Von Deusen of the Texas Department of Health Services.
The New York stock ran dry and, in Florida, where there were no rules to prevent temporary snow birds from being shot, the governor told non-residents to go elsewhere.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said they are not getting enough vaccine. “We have places that can do more and we want them to do more and we want them to do more,” said DeSantis.
Super vaccine sites, such as Charlotte Motor Speedway’s, have helped boost efforts to distribute the vaccine. The need is urgent: other highly contagious strains have been detected and health professionals are concerned about receiving their second dose.
