Vaccine distribution site to open at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim

Orange County will begin using Disneyland as a new “super site” for coronavirus vaccinations this week, and more large-scale locations in the county are scheduled for similar use soon.

“Disneyland Resort, the largest employer in the heart of Orange County, has stepped up to host the county’s first Super POD location – performing a monumental task in our vaccination distribution process,” said Acting President Andrew Do, First District , to the press release. “We really appreciate the support of the Orange County Fire Authority, our cities and our residents as we continue to implement the COVID-19 vaccine across the county.

Disneyland Resort is one of five regional “Super POD” locations that will be able to vaccinate thousands of residents every day.

“I am proud to have Disneyland Resorts and the city of Anaheim, both in my fourth district, being the first Super POD locations in Orange County,” said supervisor Doug Chaffee in a press release. “Residents in my district have been heavily affected by COVID-19. These Super PODs are absolutely essential to stop this deadly virus.”
