Utah’s rate of positivity continues to rise; 173 new COVID-19 cases reported Monday

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Department of Health reported 173 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, with an additional death.

The seven-day moving average for the percentage of “people over people” positivity is now 7.1, a number that has continued to rise over the past week.

Last Wednesday, the percentage of positivity was 6.7%.

On Monday, 1,498,039 vaccines were administered in Utah and 121 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 in the state.
