The Utah Department of Health’s COVID-19 report for Monday shows an increase of 859 confirmed cases – bringing the state total to 337,264 – and two additional deaths.
So far, 1,969,659 people in Utah have been tested for the disease. The state’s seven-day continuous average for the number of positive tests is 1,763 per day, and the seven-day average for the percentage of positive tests is 19.2.
A total of 229,575 vaccines have already been administered in Utah.
459 people in Utah are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.
1,597 people in Utah died of COVID-19. The two deaths announced on Monday are:
- Woman, 45-64 years old, resident in Utah County, hospitalized at the time of death
- Male, 65-84, Utah County resident, hospitalized at death
