SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Department of Health’s COVID-19 report shows an increase of 487 confirmed cases – bringing the state total to 371,979 – and nine additional deaths.
So far, 2,214,506 people in Utah have been tested for the disease. The 7-day continuous average for positive tests is 603 per day. The continuous average of 7 days for the percentage of positivity of “people over people” is 10.5%. The 7-day continuous average for the percentage positivity of “tests over tests” is 4.9%.

A total of 741,297 vaccines have already been administered in Utah.
213 people in Utah are hospitalized with COVID-19.

1,949 people in Utah died of COVID-19. The nine deaths announced on Tuesday are:
- Male, over 85 years old, resident in Utah County, resident in long-term care institution
- Woman, over 85 years old, resident in Salt Lake County, resident in long-term care institution
- Woman aged 65 to 84, resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at the time of death
- Male, between 65 and 84 years old, resident in Tooele County, hospitalized at the time of death
- Woman, 45-64 years old, resident in Weber County, hospitalized at the time of death
- Male, between 65 and 84 years old, resident in Davis County, not hospitalized at the time of death
- Male between 65 and 84 years old, resident in Washington County, hospitalized at the time of death
- Male, 65 to 84 years old, resident of Utah County, hospitalized at the time of death
- Male, 45-64 years old, resident in Summit County, hospitalized at the time of death
Two of the deaths reported on Tuesday occurred before February 9.
