US stock market futures were flat on Sunday, the first trading day of the new year.

S&P 500 ES00 futures,
and future Nasdaq-100 NQ00,
little has changed, two days before the second round of Georgia that will decide the control of the Senate and, probably, the fate of the economic policy of the Biden government.
US stocks closed higher on Thursday, the last trading day of 2020, with the Dow and S&P 500 setting new records, as investors emerged from a wild year that saw stocks collapse in a bear market before to recover to historic highs.
The Dow DJIA,
ended the year up 8.3%, the S&P 500 SPX,
ended at 16.3%, and the Nasdaq COMP,
ended the year with an increase of 43.6%.
