Pan is described as a six-foot-tall Asian man, weighing 170 pounds, with a medium complexion and short black hair. US Marshals said he could be with friends or family in the areas of Duluth or Brookhaven, Georgia.

He was last seen in the early hours of February 11 carrying a black backpack and acting strange, family members told investigators. He is currently charged with an illegal flight charge to avoid prosecution and interstate vehicle theft stemming from the February 6 crime.

Authorities warn that Pan must be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about Pan’s whereabouts should immediately contact the US Marshals at 1-877-Wanted-2 (1-877-926-8332).

YALE MURDER MYSTERY ‘PERSON OF INTEREST’ ATTENDED MIT WITH THE VICTIM BRIDE, BUT UNKNOWN CONNECTION

Jiang, a 26-year-old US Army veteran, National Guard and graduate student at the Yale Environmental School, grew up in Chicago and Seattle and proposed to his girlfriend, Zion Perry, just a week before his death. Perry, whose parents live in Pennsylvania, also attends graduate school at Yale University and completed his degree at MIT in 2020.

Kevin Jiang proposed to Zion Perry on January 30 - a year after they met at a church retreat in Connecticut.

Jiang and Perry met at a church retreat in Connecticut a year ago.

Authorities declined to comment on whether any possible connection between Perry and Pan resulted in Jiang’s death. Photos taken by Fox 61 show Perry and Pan talking at an MIT swing dance in March 2020, but details about any relationship are unknown.

Perry could not be reached for comment on Fox News after the New Haven Police Department on February 10 identified Pan as a person interested in Jiang’s death. Speaking to Fox News on the phone before the announcement, Perry said he “had no idea” why anyone could have targeted Jiang, describing his fiance as a “burning follower of Jesus” with a “life lived by following God” .

Jiang’s funeral was held on Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church in New Haven, where he and his mother were regular volunteers.

The New Haven Police Department said last week that Pan visited car dealerships in Connecticut and Massachusetts before Jiang’s murder and intended to buy a small SUV model. While at the dealerships, he asked to test the vehicles and take them to his mechanic for inspection, according to investigators.

All car dealerships that have had contact with Pan in the past few months should contact the New Haven Police Department at 203-946-6304 or the New Haven Police Department Anonymous Line at 1-866- 888-8477 or by e-mail ECIC @ newhavenct.gov.
