US Department of Veterans Affairs working to help military veterans receive the COVID-19 vaccine

There is a new effort to help military veterans get the vaccine. Va Covid Vax

The US Department of Veterans Affairs is reaching out to the men and women who served to vaccinate them.

They are determining which people enter the clinic first by age and underlying health conditions.

The first clinic will be on January 18th.

“We will start at 8:30 am and if Moderna ensures that we have 300 vaccines, our goal is to give 300 veterans their first Modern vaccine. They will return on February 15, on President’s Day, and receive their second Modern vaccine. In the meantime, we will schedule other clinics, ”said Christine Sykes, Nurse Manager for Veterans Affairs in Traverse City.
